God Provides

God is good and one of the many things I am confidant about is that He always provides for our needs. He also gives us the opportunity to step out in faith and give. Freely we receive, freely to give. One area of my faith that has been stretched over the past few years is my willingness to give, and Dan and I have found that the more we give, the more He provides, and the more He gives us the opportunity to give again. Some of our closest friends have also been called to missions and were sent out this past January. It has been such a blessing to watch how God has provided for them and it has been a blessing to Dan and I to be a part of that. As we have trusted the Lord to give us an amount, it has been exciting to see how He has supplied that amount so that we could pass it along to them. At times it has been a sacrifice of things we have “wanted”, but has never deprived us of anything we need. F! ar beyond anything we have sacrificed, it has a been a blessing to know that we are sowing financially and spiritually into their lives. And sometimes He even surprises us, and gives us the things later we thought we had sacrificed.

Now we find ourselves in a place where we must ask others to join with us in providing for our daily needs as we follow God’s call, pack up or sell all that we have, and move to the Philippines. We have already started to hear stories of how God is leading you to give and the ways in which He is providing the means to do that. I am so blessed by those of you who are willing to listen and follow God in this way and pray that you will be blessed as much as Dan and I have in your giving. We cannot thank you enough. We love you and are blessed by your love, prayers and support. May God richly bless you and we are excited as you partner with us in the Harvest we trust God is going to bring through this time we spend in Manila.

Then He said to them, “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.
