More Answered Prayers
The Lord has be doing a lot of speaking and providing over the last few weeks. Specifically He has brought a certain level of resolution to 2 things Melissa and I have been praying about.
Our house. We have be deliberating over whether to sell of rent out our house. The obvious advantage of holding onto the financial investment of our brand new house (we bought and moved into our beautiful brand new house last summer) carried with it many concerns of the drawbacks of owning a rental property especially while overseas. A couple of weeks ago Melissa and I went forward for prayer Sunday morning with the request that the Lord would bring some resolution to this decision. He spoke quite clearly to both of us that He has richly blessed us and provided for us time and time again in our lives and He would continue to financially do so. He also impressed us that if we had a ! Plan B (having a home to come back to in Nampa) then chances were pretty good that we would take advantage of it. We both feel so clearly that God’s call to missions on our life does not need a Plan B to fall back on. We feel very released and confident we are to put our house on the market in the next few weeks.
Our Car. We sold our car tonight! After having it in the paper for 2 weeks and getting lots of calls we did not have anyone interested enough to make us a serious offer. Almost on a whim I felt I should email everyone in our local church body letting them know I was selling the car and to pass word along to anyone they thought might be interested. I got a call yesterday from Kelvin Bishop who had 2 cars go belly up on him in the last month and was in need of a good car. Praise God! He worked it out great for both of us.
Thank you all who are praying with and for us. What a great adventure.
I think that is an interesting point, it made me think a bit. Thanks for sparking my thinking cap. Sometimes I get so much in a rut that I just feel like a record.
