It’s 4:50 am and I am waiting for Melissa to get out of the shower so we can head to the airport. We have had such a wonderful two weeks in the States so far. We are enjoying the food, rest, and comforts of home but most of all we are enjoying the time with our family and loved ones. We are so blessed by you all. Your love is precious to us.

We are heading to Maryland for the next couple days to visit our dear friends and pastors from the church in which I grew up, Gaithersburg Church of the Nazarene (GCN). GCN is a magical place in my mind where I have so many memories of great times and growing in the Lord. It is such an honor to return all these years later. To share how God has used these years and how GCN is part of that spiritual heritage.

We are excited how God will move in and around us…

This is the life!

Papes! You guys are great! If you wanna make a detour and come to Nashville that would be okay with me. You could come for The Call (thecall.com). Its just that I miss you and would love to see you. Enjoy your time in Maryland.

Andy, wish we could. It’s lame we won’t get to see you this time around! I still think you should come work in our studio!

So not really on the same topic as your post, but I found this today and I just can’t resist sharing. Mrs. Agathe’s dishwasher quit working so she called a repairman. Since she had to go to work the next day, she told him, “I’ll leave the key under the mat. Fix the dishwasher, leave the bill on the counter, and I’ll mail you the check. Oh, and by the way…don’t worry about my Doberman. He won’t bother you. But, whatever you do, do NOT under ANY circumstances talk to my parrot!” When the repairman arrived at Mrs. Agathe’s apartment the next day, he discovered the biggest and meanest looking Doberman he had ever seen. But just as she had said, the dog simply laid there on the carpet, watching the repairman go about his business. However, the whole time the parrot drove him nuts with his incessant cursing, yelling and name-calling. Finally the repairman couldn’t contain himself any longer and yelled, “Shut up, you stupid ugly bird!” To which the parrot replied, “Get him, Spike!”
