Maybe panic isn’t the right word for it, cause we are really enjoying the final weeks leading up to our move from Idaho and our transition overseas.

We had a wonderful time with my family last week! It was perfect. We had such a great time. If you ever get a chance to stay on Payette Lake in McCall Idaho I would highly recommend it. We had a very relaxed time eating together, fishing together, swimming together, boating/jet skiing together, and cliff diving together. We were able to all stay under one roof (we have 21 so that is no small feat) and it made it great. It was as quiet or as exciting as you wanted it to be at any one time. I have posted an image gallery from our vacation. It should give you the idea.

With our vacation behind us we down to our 3 weeks to put our! affairs in order. This is where the pre-panic panic part comes in. I suppose a certain amount of panic is good. It keeps you aware and on the ball, right? Well we have made our to-do lists but find ourselves adding new items to them faster than we are removing them at this point. Any good lawyers out there? We need our will made. There is just a lot to research and make sure is complete and that is all on top of sorting our house and possessions into 3 piles; the pack into 10 pieces of luggage pile, the store in my folks basement pile, and the garage sale pile.

Our kids have been sick too. This is hard on a parent for those who have not experienced it. Ian was really fussy and ran a temperature last weekend. We thought he was feeling the pushing of his molars out and he kicked it in a few days. Then Elanor got a fever. We took her to the doctor and he identified an ear infection and issued antibiotics. Now Isaiah has been sick all day with a! crazy stomach flu. I have seen and touched more barf today t! hat I ha ve since our Pape Christmas in Maryland in the 90′s.

So despite all this, or perhaps in light of all this, I feel really peaceful. Last night as Melissa and I crawled into bed we again offered up all that we are, all that we have, all our concerns, and all our love to the Lord. I was feeling the panic at the time, but this morning was the peace.

Keep us in your prayers over the next few weeks. We love you all
