Raining Bukos

Julay and his cousin Divine and sister Isa spent the day at our house today plundering our two buko (coconut) trees. Julay has asked if he could climb our tree before however he was never able to make it to the top branches which hold the precious bukos. His cousin Devine however is a few years older than Julay and she is an awesome climber so after just one failed attempt she was in the top of the tree tossing bukos down as fast as she could.
Isaiah, Ian, and Elanor thought is was the most special day ever as they helped pile up the fruit and then helped drill in to save the milk. When Divine was finished in the tree she showed us how to use a claw hammer to crack the bukos open to get to the sweet meat inside. Masarap!
It’s been so fun to watch Julay and his family warm up to us and spend more and more time with us. At meals they pray with us and are always sad to go home. It is such an honor to sew into these young lives. Pray for us as God reveals Himself to our little friends.

Wow! That regular, loving interaction is what it is all about! We’ll be praying for you guys and also for Julay and his family. Sounds like God’s doing some great things!
