Summer Recap – In Photos
I thought the best way to share about our eight weeks in the US would just be to show you. The following is a photo recap of all the great places we visited and all the lovely family and friends we spent time with. We are extremely blessed and had a wonderful time. We hope you enjoy the ‘trip’ along with us.
Pocatello Idaho
We spent a wonderful two weeks with our family in Pocatello Idaho. It was a great way to start off our time in the US by adjusting to a new time and new routine at Grandma Swank’s house. We did a lot of great things in Pocatello, but the thing we did most was to take the kids to the park. They had such a great time playing and swinging. This batch of images examplifies it well.
Great Grandpa’s Farm
We had the priviledge to get together with Melissa’s family on the farm in Downs Kansas. It’s so beautiful and quiet there. The kids LOVE it!
Mt. Rushmore
For our second camping trip while in the US we went to South Dakota in Grandma and Grandpa’s RV. We had a BLAST! There are so many fun things to do there. You have to visit.
Elanor’s 4th Birthday
From our time in the US this summer. Elanor turned 4 and she was lucky enough to have all her aunts and uncles and cousins at her party. We even managed to get them all soaking wet! It was a blast.
Elitch Gardens, Six Flags
Denver is home to Elitch Gardens. An amusement park owned by Six Flags. We all had such a great time on the rides and at the water park. Highlights of the trip were the bumper cars for the kids and the big roller coasters for the adults. Check our the videos of the Mind Eraser and The Twister 2 I took.
Bear Lake, Estes Park Colorado
Estes Park Colorado is famous for being one of the most beautiful places on earth – I have to agree! One of the fun things we did together with the family this summer was to take a hike around Bear Lake. It also became the family picture spot! The lake is at 9,500 elevation!
Cowpoke Corral Horseback Riding
We had another fun adventure this summer! We took a 1.5 hour trail ride on horseback in the Colorado mountains. Ian and Elanor rode ponys and the rest of us got big horses.
Fishing
We were able to spend a few different time fishing together. Although we never caught many, they kids had a great time with their Grandpa “watching the bobber.”
