Catching Up
We are back in the Philippines from our 2 months in the US and life is starting to get back to normal but I feel like we have some catching up to do. This is what we look like now.
For some of you, I want to welcome you to our website. We have undergone some renovations since version 1 of our website and one big part of this was getting a new subscription system in place to make it easy for you all to keep up to date with our family. As you can see, we are all up and running so get ready
We are settling back into our home, our work, and some new exciting opportunities here in the Philippines. In addition to our work at WMC I am teaching “Printed Media and Design” for the Masters of Christian Communications degree at APNTS. It’s been fun and challenging to convert all the things I have learned about design (or should have learned) into an educational experience. So far, we are having fun and the student seem to be enjoying it!
Melissa will soon begin teaching art classes at the Help International children’s home which is just a few blocks away from our house. While in the States we had 2 churches give funds for our specific use in children’s ministry. It was such a blessing to load up on art supplies and other resources that we will use in educating and spending time with these needy kids.
Isaiah will start Kindergarten in a few weeks at Faith Academy while Ian and Elanor keep things exciting at home. We feel loved, blessed, and energized for what God is doing all around us here in Manila and we are so excited to be a little part of that.
One of the cardinal rules of blogging is to never make promises about future posts … but I can’t help it. We promise to get some posts up soon recapping in more detail our time back in the States, our vacation to New Hampshire, and the fun events we have participated in already in our short time back.
As always keep us in your prayers and in your support. You are part of the reason we are still able to be here!

WOW! everyone’s so energetic! welcome back daniel, melissa and kids!
You guys are awesome.
Nice eyes baby Elanor.

November 30th, 2008 at 2:08 pmHello
my name is Gina. I am half filipino and love what you are doing to my native country. I have never been to the philippines, but i would love to go. My mother left the philippines when she was fifteen and has not been back since. This makes me sad. I pray that i will soon have enough money to go on my own of course i have to wait till i am at a legal age to be on my pwn because we do not have much family there that i know about. By the way i am 13 about to be 14 in 6 more days
I love learning about my native country and it’s past. I hope to learn further by reading your family’s blog. Thank You so much for teaching to the people of the Philipp[ines. I hope one day i can reach out to my cousins here in the United States. God Bless You and Your Family.
