Well, it’s hard not to feel like a really blessed person. I guess that is exactly how a child of God should feel since we are blessed. Not only are we blessed by being members of a Kingdom which will never fade and will only increase and increase into it’s fullness. We are also blessed by having the Lord’s hand of protection and His provision suppling all our needs to achieve His purposes and goals for our lives. This leads into two things to share.

First, I wanted to give an update on the house. As of Monday we accepted the full price offer on our house on the condition of the buyers signing of an attached amendment (which is a polite way of saying we “countered” his offer) defining the conditions of renting the house for August and part of September until we leave. We drafted this defining a really good rental rate. Today we received the buyers signed acceptance! of this amendment. Also, today the buyer had a professional home inspection performed. The guy went over the place with a fine-toothed comb and gave us a complete clean bill of health. We were not worried as the house is still brand new, but its a nice formality to have complete. The inspector even complimented us on our beautiful house and excellent choice in colors and painted cabinets. So the checklist of remaining formalities leading up to closing July 29th is getting ticked off. Appraisal is next. Please pray we appraise right at asking price, no more, no less.

Second, we have some updated numbers on our financial partnership page! It had been a fairly quiet 4 weeks for our fund raising efforts, but the Lord continued to give us His peace. In our prayer times God kept assuring us He knows EXACTLY what it will take to get us to Manila and to get His tasks done there. Thi! s last Tuesday we received an update from our church on the co! ntributi ons received, and man was it a good report. We are now one-third of the way to our October goal and one-fourth of the way to our total goal!

Thank you! to all who have given! Your generosity and willingness to give is simply amazing and humbling. We pray for you all that you will feel in partnership with us. We hope that these updates will help you in praying for us. That seeing the Lord move in miraculous ways in preparing our family for such a huge transition would build your faith. We hope you are seeing how He does move today in awesome ways. We can’t wait to get to the Philippines and begin to show you and share with you how God is working in that country and in our family.

As you will see from our partnership page, there is still ground to be gained. Please continue to pray as the Lord faithfully provides for our needs. Also continue to pray about how He might use you in meeting those needs, that the Lord w! ould be building up those individuals and families who He will use to provide for our needs, and that He would be impressing those who would be on-going partners in our ministry.

He is able, and we are thrilled to be in the current of the river.
