Sendusout

Our first of numerous yard sales is going well. We seem to be getting lots of traffic and unloading stuff. That said, the tables still seem very full.

As we begin the nuts-and-bolts process of selling our possessions and raising funds for moving to Manila I do find myself getting mini panic attacks that it is all so daunting, there is so much to do, there is so much $ to raise. My heart knows the Lord is not intimidated by our fund raising and the numerous things that need to take place in order to “go” but my mind gets in the way at times.

A month or so ago when communicating with Ted Wheeler (one of the missionaries we will be working with in Manila) about our fundraising and financial needs he shared a verse that was VERY influential to he and his wife when they were called to missions. “A man’s heart plans his way, But the LORD directs his steps! .” Proverbs 16:9. This has been a peaceful reminder that the Lord is orchestrating our lives and will get done what needs to be done. Nothing will stand in His way. Please help us in prayer as we contend that the Lord will “take care of the details” and direct our steps.
