Isaiah's Surgery As some of you may know Isaiah was born with sagittal synostosis. He had corrective surgery done at 9 months of age and it was a complete success. We have been anticipating a follow up procedure for the last few years to close up a few remaining open spots in his skull. The surgery took place last Wednesday (June 9th) and everything went perfectly. Isaiah did great. He was very brave and was the nurses favorite patient. He is recovering perfectly. Painting With Light During our WMC-AP retreat we had fun with "long exposure" and painting with light. Most of these exposures were between 10 and 30 seconds and I used my cellphone for the light. 17 photos |

Summer 09 - Bear Lake One of the fun things we did together with the family this summer was to take a hike around Bear Lake. It also became the family picture spot! The lake is at 9,500 elevation! 9 photos |

Summer 09 - Horse Riding We had another fun adventure this summer! We took a 1.5 hour trail ride on horseback in the Colorado mountains. Ian and Elanor rode ponys and the rest of us got big horses. 12 photos |

The Little Gym Ian is in a gymnastics class and he LOVES it! You should see the way he lights up while at class. It is so perfect for him. We wanted something to get him ready for Kindergarten next yeah but we knew that traditional preschool would not work well for him. The Little Gym is an answer to prayer! 12 photos |

Alay Lakad 2008 Every Holy Week in the Philippines there is much ritual and attention to the life of Christ. Unfortunately most of this attention is in the area of his suffering and the penance that Catholics should endure in order to ensure their forgiveness. One activity that achieves this is the Alay Lakad (Gift Walk). This year I chose to experience Alay Lakad rather than observe it so I walked with countless (millions) of Filipinos on their pilgrimage to Antipolo Philippines culminating in a 3:00am Mass....and then....to walk back home. 17 photos |
