Rhythm
If you have not heard of Rob Bell, or his book Velvet Elvis, or his growing Nooma video series you should stop and check them out.
I watched the Nooma video #11 “Rhythm” today. It’s profoundly beautiful, simple, well written, and inspirational on many levels. In the video the speaker monologues about God being similar to a song. It’s a song that has been playing from the beginning of all things and it is beautiful and captivating for those who stop and listen. Many people may debate whether the music exists, but despite this, the song still plays. It’s possible to know everything there is to know about music; meter, scales, time, etc. while not being very good at staying in tune with the song. It’s also just as possible to know little or nothing about music while still being incredibly in tune with the song.
Stop and listen to the music around you. Check it out and be inspired!
