Alabaster Video

Just wanted to share the latest video that we produced here at WMC. The team did an outstanding job on this one. Ever since we joined together and made the short film called Kamatis a little while back the team is charged to get more narrative with our typical video assignments. We are creating a video for the Church of the Nazarene each quarter on a specific topic like Work & Witness or Compassionate Ministries or Alabaster. Usually these videos are more on the reporting side, but I love the direction the team is taking to consider these project more like short films, that still share the message.
Here is the story of alabaster giving from the perspective of a little girl saving her money for a special pair of shoes. Look for the cameos in the slide show during the video too

As always we appreciate your comments.

Kudos to everyone who had a part in it.
Very impressive, very professional. The girls smile tells the whole story.
May 27th, 2008 at 9:35 amI like the continuity of Shalie Tamayo’s cameo character from Kamatis - Go Shalie! Again, nice work guys!
May 28th, 2008 at 2:29 amThe great thing about this video to me is the *perspective* of sacrificial giving from the standpoint of those who do not have a lot to begin with, providing a context to the idea of meaningful financial giving. The story of the widows mite was along the same line, but here you create a narrative to flush out the human emotional side of giving… very good work! Thanks for sharing this.

July 4th, 2008 at 12:57 amGreat clip! Show it to others in your churches since September is alabaster month. This clip was published on the recent volume of World Mission DVD(2008, volume 3) and the church of the Nazarene now has an online media library where you can download the clip too!
